FC Barcelona are reportedly close to another sensational transfer hi-jacking after Inter stalled on Arturo Vidal in order to persue Luka Modric from Real Madrid.
Vidal, 31, has been cleared to leave Bayern after three seasons at the club and Inter were said to be leading the chase for the box-to-box midfielder.
However, with Barca actively seeking a replacement for Paulinho, the Spanish giants have reportedly submitted a concrete offer to secure the Chile international.
With Inter stalling on securing the former Juventus superstar in order to explore the availability of Modric, Ernesto Valverde’s side are believed to be in pole position to secure another transfer hijacking – after the Malcom and AS Roma debacle.
Spanish publication Sport claim the transfer is imminent, along with the signing of Senegal teenage right-back Moussa Wague – who became the youngest African to score at the FIFA World Cup during Russia 2018.
The 19-year-old’s exploits at the global showpiece has made him one of Europe’s most sought-after talents.
And the Blaugrana are keen to secure his services from Belgian side Eupen with Sergi Roberto ideally moving back into a midfield role. AFP
